The Challenge

As the prospective in-house graphic designer for Ambassador Advertising Agency, I was part of the creative team tasked with successfully launching a new radio program for an existing client, Joni and Friends.  This was also my demo project for being a new full-time hire at the agency – success also meant I would be hired.

The Solution

I created the CD Jacket for the new program – a piece that would include the actual CD of monthly programming and would be used for promotional purposes, distributed to radio stations across the country.  My design was accepted and used for the launch, which had a station sign-on list that was in the hundreds. And, I was hired at the agency as their full-time, in-house Graphic Designer.

Diamonds in the Dust CD Jacket:

Group Collaboration:

This project was not only a launch of a client’s new radio program, but was also a test for hiring the Graphic Designer position at the agency. Working with the Agency’s Creative Team, as well as meeting with the client, ensured the design met intended goals.

Solo Creativity:

Full creative design was granted for the work of the Jacket and, in keeping with the client’s wishes, was able to construct the diamond design concept for the launch campaign.

Positive Results:

Not only was the Agency and the client pleased with the design and went forward with the campaign, the Agency hired me as their full-time, in-house Graphic Designer.
